Value-added systems delivered by specialist engineering team at new offices.
Forest Holidays’ offices in Moira was the latest location for Yee Group engineers completing new electrical and security installations at the UK support centre of this expanding business.
With 9 locations spread throughout the country, more holiday makers than ever are choosing the company’s luxury woodland cabins, set in idyllic surroundings.
Responding to the growing demand for unpackaged and sustainable tourism experiences, Forest Holidays, which operates entirely on Forestry Commission land, enables its visitors to step back into nature and create their own outdoor experiences.
The completed project saw Yee engineers installing the latest fire and intruder alarms in the company’s refurbished offices that was previously an open plan warehouse. Working with the in-house team at Forest Holidays, engineers from the Burton-based electrical, security and air-conditioning company undertook this project on the basis of their capabilities as the ‘single-point’ contractor.
“Following their initial site visit, our engineers recommended replacement and upgrading of the existing alarm systems”, pointed out Yee Group Managing Director, Simon Chapman.
“Our teams are tasked with making detailed onsite assessments for clients in order that we can provide the best available advice in each particular set of circumstances”.
The application of innovative technologies is given high priority by Yee Group in situations where it can deliver added-value, enhanced operational benefits and provide advantages in terms of energy efficiency.
In the case of Forest Holidays, this principle was applied to the specification and installation of HiFire alarms. These innovative devices carry a full manufacturer’s warranty. According to HiFire, each device is individually tested at the completion of its assembly which provides added reassurance to the client.
With careful planning and design, office space in the new centre has been doubled to accommodate a larger team, including the contact centre. Hot desking facilities and informal working areas, as well as more meeting rooms, have been configured with the available office space.
Yee Group’s Simon Chapman was impressed by the sunlit and airy feel of the building and the use of natural light from high and low level windows.
The window design supplements the interior electric lighting that has created attractive working conditions. It enables the entire building to be ‘connected with nature’ providing more than just a passing nod to this business’ activity, providing memorable holidays in stunning woodland settings.
Some of the quirkiness of the building’s former use as a boat house has been retained in the high-quality enlarged and improved kitchen/diner which is still called ‘The Galley’.
“One of our key service provisions advises clients like Forest Holidays where cost-savings can be made in their operations”, continued Simon Chapman.
“We extend that through each specific installation for electrical, security, fire and air-conditioning works. This is part of our specialist service solutions for year-round effective and efficient operation of the newly installed systems by each client”.
The completed offices have been hailed by the teams and staff at the company.
“Not only do our established team enjoy working in the new environment, but we have found that the office is now very attractive to prospective employees,” added Bruce McKendrick, Chief Executive Officer, Forest Holidays.
“Over the last couple of years, we have recruited many local people who are delighted to join a growing, successful and professional business that offers them unrivalled personal development opportunities.”
Yee Group project managed the installations which were delivered by its specialist team and provided the additional advantage of one point of contact throughout the entire project.
