Yee Group’s first six months under its new name has created a significant upturn in sales and opportunities.
One of Burton’s leading businesses, Yee Group, formerly Mace, has reported that’s its first six months under its new name has created a significant upturn in sales and opportunities to build on its current levels of business success.
Run by Burton and District Chamber of Commerce President, Simon Chapman, the company has won major new contracts in East Staffordshire, across the Midlands and further afield.
The contractor working in the commercial, industrial and public sectors has seen a significant upturn in enquiries and successful contracts across its three dedicated business streams of Safety, Space and Tailored Services; the latter is a blend of services that are individually configured to meet unique requests from Yee Group’s customers.
Amongst its most recent contacts, Yee Group has delivered large-scale integrated installations at Burton and South Derbyshire College, Drayton Manor Theme Park, and FMC Health and Nutrition on Centrum 100 in Burton.
For leading local, family-owned waste management company Willshee’s, the contractor recently completed fire alarm installations and air-conditioning maintenance and repair at its new premises on Wharf Road. Here the waste management business is aiming at providing the ‘greenest’ recycling service possible in order to reduce landfill to the point where it is zero.
“It is the combination of their services as a single business that first made Yee Group attractive to us”, added Dean Willshee.
“On and off site Yee engineers follow a multi-discipline approach that enables them to deliver installation, compliance and maintenance in a single, integrated package. It’s an innovation that provides significant commercial and operational benefits to us. We particularly see advantages in their engineers working outside of normal hours, so that businesses to continue to function normally”.
Repeat contracts remain important to Yee Group and its latest works for Birmingham’s Orbit Housing, both across the Midlands and North – Leeds, Mansfield and Huddersfield – confirm that ‘critical advantage of retaining customers by successfully delivering to their full satisfaction’ which is one of the contractor’s key bywords.
“From my regular meetings with our customers across the country and Chamber members, there is a growing level of confidence in continuing business growth”, said Simon Chapman.
“This mirrors research carried out by American Express Small Business Services that the proportion of small companies reporting significant growth has also risen from 13% to 49% in the past 12 months.
The American Express Business Barometer is based on a poll of 500 UK small businesses which are optimistic that this positive trend will continue in the near future.
“What makes the past 6 months all the more exciting for this business is that along with our colleagues and competitors across the West Midlands, we are out-performing the rest of the country”, continued Mr Chapman.
“Of course, our challenge is to continue to maintain that performance, but the prospects continue to look positive. The extraordinary growth of commerce and industry in Burton on Trent, the surrounding areas where we operate, as well as the rest of the country, continue to highlight the opportunities to grow this business”.
