DACS Office Solutions have over 20 years industry experience, supplying office products and services to some of the UK’s leading corporate, legal and public sector clients.
Yee Group engineers undertook the design, management and installation of electrical, fire and security systems at DACS Office Solutions 790 sq m warehouse.
As part of the schedule of works, Yee Group was called-in to install intruder and fire alarms to enhance the existing systems. Engineers used a pre-site survey to design the
new systems that operate eight infra-red CCTV cameras complete with round-the-clock 24-hour recording.
Using the latest in DVR technology, DACS Office Solutions now operates remote accessing for improved protection of its premises, assets and equally importantly its staff.
Led by MD Daren Haley, DACS Office Solutions has established close on-going relationships with customers in professional services companies.
I have built Yee on the back of the simple principle that quality and value can sit side-by-side when it comes to service delivery, providing you have a team of highly trained, committed professionals.
With DACS recent expansion into document storage, both high level security and energy saving solutions will be key factors in offering their clients a reputable and trustworthy solution.
The investment in Yee Group’s security technology and energy saving solutions will do just that, enabling DACS to confidently grow their document storage arm of the business.
Prior to the start of the installations, an investigation by Yee Group identified potential savings for DACS Office Solutions with a recommendation to replace its existing low bay lighting. The design team at the company’s Wetmore Road offices, then developed an energy-saving scheme that replaced the high-energy consuming 400W metal halide lamps.
The existing lamps were immediately replaced with 55W lamps offering an average lighting level of 205 lux through the provision of ‘direct lighting’ which makes the new lighting a highly effective cost-effective solution. The total energy consumed is forecast to fall to 1,296 watts per annum which Yee Group estimates will provide a £3,000 saving in the client’s energy bill.
Additionally, the new lamps each offer a 20,000 hour life-expectancy compared to only 15,000 hours for the 400W lighting that has been replaced.
Yee Group engineers then fitted automatic sensors at the ends of each aisle in the warehouse. The 27 new low-consumption lights switch-off after a pre-determined period and are re-activated when the presence of a member of the DACS Office Solutions team is detected. The application of these sensors means that the life-expectancy of the lamp fittings rises for just 5 years to 34 years.
“It is one of our key attributes is to advise clients where cost-savings can be made in their operations by installing new systems”, pointed out Yee Group MD Simon Chapman.
“The DACS Office Solutions team in Ashby, were impressed when we suggested the automated system for their lighting. It neatly related to their own principles of constantly striving to save their clients’ money, whilst still delivering a top class service. And Yee Group subscribes to that same principle”.
