Working with businesses & landlords to promote safety through the electrical installation report scheme
Electrical installation condition reports (EICRs) are required by law. They are an insurance requirement that applies every three years for industrial premises and every five years for commercial buildings. If you have a particularly harsh environment, then testing can be required more frequently.
As a building owner or operator, it is your legal responsibility to ensure that electrical installations are safe for your employees or tenants to operate. Electrical devices and installations must be checked periodically to ensure they are operating correctly. Faulty equipment can cause fires and without the necessary testing being undertaken at the correct intervals, can invalidate your insurance.
